Egyptian Global Logistics (EGL) wishes to inform you of a recent operational event that occurred at Dhekheila Port Terminal involving Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling Company (ALCN).

On Monday, June 30, 2025, during berthing operations, a container vessel accidentally collided with the terminal quay, causing two (2) shore cranes to go out of service. We are pleased to confirm that there were no casualties or injuries, and the terminal continues to operate with appropriate safety protocols in place.

EGL is in direct coordination with port and terminal authorities to assess the technical and operational impact. Terminal management is working diligently to resume full capacity, and all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure service continuity and safety.

Key Highlights:

Incident occurred during berthing; 2 cranes temporarily out of service.

No loss of life or injury reported.

Operations at the terminal are ongoing, though capacity is reduced.

Technical and legal reviews are underway.

EGL is actively supporting clients to mitigate any disruptions.
