History & Foundation

EGL was founded in 1999 by Admiral Hatem El Kady as a result of the implementation of the plan to separate the freight forwarding activity and the agency activity.

For some years Admiral El Kady has been the:

•  Chairman of the Egyptian Chamber of Shipping,
•  Chairman of the Alexandria Chamber of Shipping,
•  Supreme Council of Ports member,
•  Alexandria Port Authority board member.

Currently he is the Chairman of the Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping.

Shortly after EGL became one of the most rapid developing logistics providers in the area.
